The Director General of the Income and Sales Tax Department, Dr. Hussam Abu Ali, thanked all the income and sales tax taxpayers for their legal commitment and compliance during the past year to submit tax returns on their legal dates, as well as their commitment and response to perform their financial obligations without delay.

On the other hand, the Income and Sales Tax Department called on all taxpayers to submit income tax returns on their incomes during 2021 electronically, and to take into account filling out these returns with realistic and correct information that reflects their real incomes from the reality of their business activities during the past year 2021.

The department indicated that the submission of declarations is done electronically through the department's website www.istd.gov.jo.

It is reported that the department has updated the income tax return forms for the fiscal year 2021 and placed them on its website, as well as downloading them on the e-government program for all categories of taxpayers, Employee, Individuals, Companies and Development Areas by accessing the electronic link www.istd.gov.jo. and choose the e-services icon.

The department called on the taxpayers to pay the amounts declared in these returns by electronic payment methods.

The department said that taxpayers who hold tax numbers who are not subscribed to e-government services can obtain a password that enables them to deal and obtain the department's services electronically without consulting the department, by entering its website, then choosing the electronic services icon and choosing a "new user" Where the taxpayer can enter the user name that represents the tax number and completes the rest of the steps to obtain the password that enables them to submit the returns electronically and obtain all services provided by the department electronically within secure and safe procedures that ensure the verification of the taxpayer’s identity and maintain the confidentiality of information for the taxpayers.

The department asked the taxpayers to submit the returns as soon as possible, not to delay and wait for them to be submitted at the end of the legal period.
