The Income and Sales Tax Department has called on business owners and financial managers in all institutions and companies to commit to deducting and remitting income tax amounts deducted from salaries and wages for the fiscal year 2022 on a monthly basis.

And also called for the necessity of uploading these deductions in monthly Excel sheets on the e-government system, to include the employee's full name, the national number or the social security number, his total salary, and the amounts deducted as income tax and national contribution.

The department stressed the need to commit to deducting income tax in proportion to the size of personal and family exemptions approved by Income Tax Law No. (34) For the year 2014 and its amendments, this set the size of personal exemptions for non-parents at nine thousand dinars and for the taxpayer with breadwinners of 18 thousand dinars for the year 2020 and beyond.

The department stressed the necessity of committing to supplying the deductions and uploading their sheets for any month before the end of the next month according to the provisions of the law.
