The Income and Sales Tax Department called on the taxpayers required to submit income tax returns for the fiscal year 2020 who did not submit them during the legal period that ended at the beginning of this week and the initiative to submit them as soon as possible.

The department  indicated that the delay in submitting the return and the payment of the income tax declared in it from the legal date exposes the taxpayer to fines and additions in addition to his exposure to the initial and administrative estimate.

 Note that the delay in paying the tax exposes the taxpayer to a fine of 4 per thousand of the value of the tax due for each week of delay or any part thereof.

 It called on the taxpayers to take into account filling these returns with realistic and correct information, which expresses their realistic and real income into their business activities during the year 2020.
